When I bought my Ottawa tix (on line), I didn't see the option for the print-it-youself tickets.

So, I just selected the appropriate "mail them to me" option.

The paperwork says - and this was confirmed when I called Ticketmaster Canada today - that the tickets could be mailed as little as 5 days before the concert.

If I let this happen, they could arrive at my house after I have left for RushCon (I'm leaving on the 18th). This probably wouldn't happen, but I don't want to risk it.

I was told on the phone that, for some dumb reason, they "freeze" logistical changes to these tickets until 3 months before the show date.

So, I need to call them back in late June and change my "delivery method" to Will Call.


Depending on your travel plans, you may want to do the same.

I got my Ottawa tickets in the mail today (I bought them presale through Capital Tickets)! Also got the ones for Columbus, Cincinnati, and Calgary (all bought through Ticketmaster). :Happy Birthday!:

I'm more worried about the ones from Music Today, which might not ship until 2 weeks before show time. That reminds me, I want to phone them to make sure I typed in my address properly.

Dammit... that really sucks. I didn't know they were SERIOUS about not mailing tickets until that late.

I'm going to be moving again about a month before the show. Grr.

ya i got my tickets from the ticketmaster presale, seeing as all the tickets being offered on capital tickets SUCKED when i was searching them

So basically I was aware that it said they could mail them in a week before the show if they want to, but most people would naturally assume that's just something random they would say so that people wouldnt flip out if they didnt get them within the first week they ordered them. Sort of like a "dont worry we got you covered" message.

I emailed them about the fact that I want them now and not later, and they responded with a generic robot ticketmaster email still stating that i will have them anytime now and a week before the show, so that pissed me off but meh, I'm not too worried about it. I'll be home until the very day before the show, so it's not a big deal.

My best advice to everyone who bought ticketmaster tickets is to wait until around a full 2 weeks before the show. if you still dont have them by then, take action right away and get on ticketmasters ass, dont hope they will keep their word and send them to you next week. last thing you want is to get screwed out of your show because ticketmaster are lazy bums. But like i said, It's may 14th and the show isnt until sept 19th. I don't really give a shit about it right now.
