I thought I couldn't be more stoked about a tour...............I was wrong, this news just makes my heart swell!!! (geez, I'm lame - sounds like I'm talking about one of my kids)

email that announced this 9/22 show said it is the last show in North America before going
to the UK and Europe.

Makes some sense, too, since the band would probably like to finish off a tour at home.

After much deliberation I decided I need to be there. No one just so happens to have a front row ticket I can buy off of them do they?

I would give anything to be able to be there, but it's just not possible for me...

If I could get a day or two away from my job (not likely, given its nature) I could ask you for a ride down, RUSHGIRL, but then I'd have to find a place to stay for two nights, and buy another ticket, and feed myself, and buy a train ticket home. None of which I can afford...

Nope, it's just Ottawa for me this tour. Sigh. I guess I'll just have to hope like hell that this isn't the last tour, because I'll have graduated and found a job by the time of the next one and I'll actually be able to afford a couple of shows.

I've heard rumors of CP doing that rushcon scholarship fund again this year...maybe thats' a possibility for you RD...sure would be cool to see you there.

It's a cool thought, but my job would cause big problems. I'm a residence fellow next year (a.k.a. a don, or any number of different names depending on the school) and part of the requirement is that I'm always on campus except for a certain number of predefined hours a week. I couldn't get away for two days very easily...

Well...it was worth a try...that sucks...but at least you get to see them in Ottawa!!

Yup!! Believe me, I'm excited as hell for that show!!

I'm also going to try my luck in the seat auction... if there are any front row seats still going pretty cheaply by next monday when the auction ends (possible, since Ottawa is a smaller show) I'm going to put a bid in. If I win, you'll know about it.

Got floor tickets for both TO shows - by chance, one is on Alex's side, the other is center/Geddy. I'm going to the Montreal show as well, so should be a Rushaholic week!

RD - sucks about the no time off thing. However, if you manage to come up with a good excuse, give me a shout - I'll be staying in TO that weekend and a twin room is the same price as a single. You have to eat wherever you are, which just leaves the small matter of ticket and travel!
On the flip side, the positive vibes from the album and tour make me more confident that there will be more to come...

i put up an ad on craigslist toronto for tix. a guy who had an extra each night contacted me and i bought them. i think he got them through the ticketmaster auctions. rush fans rock.
