Hmmmmm, You'll have to tell them it's an emergency. The Boys are in need of attention and you have been summoned directly.
That might work.

I'm going too, but I don't have a ticket yet.
I may just go and hit the ticket window early and see what is released..........

I couldn't stomach the crap that came at me for a single ticket on Ticketbastard. uckeyface.gif
Ridley Giger
...got three lawn seats and they've always had great shows at Pine Knob, er...DTE. Only the date is soooo far away. My only hope is they don't get burned out with the material by then.
Derek
I am now, just checked TM after a tip on this great board, when i last checked only lawn were available, but just now grabbed 4 right center row NN seats (taking my wife and two daughters)

Seats 66-69, is there a chart that shows seat locations at DTE?
RUSHGIRL
OK, I have procured a 5th row ticket, so I am a happy camper!!!!!

I'll be there!!!
Ridley Giger
How did you pull that one off? Not as if I could afford those anyhow...the main reason that prevents me from buying pavilion seats too far back is that most people sit on their asses the whole show and complain whenever others are standing. Just a pain in the arse for me.

Well, as far as I know I am driving down myself, but meeting up in Windsor with Booter and his wife, whom I'll drive over with and I'll likely drive back TO that night. Hubs is at his limit with taking days off from work to be with the kids while I tour around North America and the UK!!!

RG, Kurt is going too. Trying to procure flight and hotel now.

Does anyone know a good place to stay that is close to the venue and airport? Anything to avoid? Don't know Detroit at all and don't want to get my hubby lost in a bad neighborhood.
FawnEyedGirl
Does any one know what airport is closest? DTT or DTW?
The Great Zo
There is no DTT. Not here anyway.

Fly into Flint Bishop (FNT) if you can, it's closest to the venue -- which is 30 or 40 miles away from Detroit itself. Detroit Metro (DTW) is very far out of the way.

Not much in the way of hotels in Clarkston (where the venue is) but check out Waterford and Auburn Hills, which are nearby and offer plenty of options.

Wow!!!!! Cool!! I don't know of any hotels near there (Mike and I stayed in one last tour, but can't remember the name) and I'm driving home that night.

Where is Kurt sitting???
bardan
I'll be at this show also. beer.gif

Does anyone happen to have extra tix?

BTW, there are hotels just a few miles south in Auburn Hills, right off the highway. That's where I usually stay.
Booter
From Detroit Metro (which I think would be your cheapest flight), you take I94 East to I75 N. There are a number of hotels right off I75 in the Auburn Hills area, which is not that far from the venue. You should try to get into Detroit around 10 AM-1PM or so so you can squeeze in between the absolutely brutal Rush hour traffic. It will take you a little under an hour to get there with no traffic. Pine Knob (DTE) is a few minutes north (on I75)from Auburn Hills. You get off the Sashabaw road exit and it's about 5 minutes from the highway. There will be lots of cops to make sure you're going the right direction.

I was there two weekends ago and stayed at the Amerisuites in Auburn Hills. On North Opdyke which is a strip with a lot of hotels on it.

The room had a nice sitting area and there is a pool and free breakfast in the morning. It's where I usually stay when I visit my sister in Rochester Hills (unless I stay with her which wasn't possible this time around).

Damn, didn't realize so many CPeeps would be at this show!
Cool beans!
Ok, so I volunteered to be the "card barer / photographer" for this show for Ouchie's friend.
As it gets closer to show day, we'll have to figure out a plan of some kind such as where we could all meet up for the photo op and signing of the card.
Shouldn't be all that difficult. Just wanted to put a heads-up out there.
thumbsup.gif
This is gunna rock! Getting to meet a ton of CPeeps in person for the first time. The only others I've ever met were Scott, from Toronto (I believe that's where he's from). Hahaha. And Nikki, who now resides in Washington state. (BoO!!!) LoL!

If any of you flyers want some friendly advice; stay clear of Detroit Metro Airport. AND the far pricier hotels around the Palace of Auburn Hill's, MI.

The smartest thing to do is fly to Flint Bishop airport. There are some very nice, yet reasonable hotels at a place just south of FNT, called "Gateway Center". From the hotel, you're only 15-20 min. from the venue driveway. (S. I-75 to Sashabaw rd.) But; better than that; you're only about 5 min (if that) from Bishop. (FNT) Which to me is more desirable, since no one wants to deal with 40+ miles of DETROIT METRO traffic, to get to that flight home the next morn.

My wife works at FNT. It is becomming the biggest secret of fliers of the 3 or so major airports in MI. Nice, clean, FAST. Very well run airport. Wins recognition awards all the time. People actually drive north 20 miles or more, just to fly a fast, NICE airport. DTW is a frickin joke. A dump.

I'll second that, i flew out of Flint to Atlanta for opening night and it was a stress free event, expecially when you return all hung over etc.
Necro
CeeJ and I will be there, sporting our new TRF shirts. We've been assimilated. Resistance was futile. LOL2.gif

Hope to meet up with some of you at the show.
